Farewell to the Heath and Davies families

The Farewell Service for the Heath family (Jonathan, Esther, Nathanael, Abigail, Josiah, Luke and Timothy) was held on July 14 at Crestwood Community Church.  The church gathered around them in prayer, sending them off for another term of service in the South Pacific.  Verses from Thessalonians were read over them. “3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one… 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” 2Thessalonians 3:3,5
The family returned to the South Pacific on July 24.  Jonathan is taking up his role as Director of Wesley International School.  Pray for the transition in the leadership of the school from the acting head back to Jonathan, and for Esther returning to her physiotherapy ministry.  Pray that she can be fully registered as a physiotherapist and build it back up to be a fruitful ministry.
Pray for all the children changing school, but especially pray for Luke and Josiah starting at Wesley International School for the first time, and Timothy who will be starting at a local preschool.

After a busy period of language study, deputation, packing up and recommissioning service at Burnside Church Rutherglen, the Davies family arrive in Mozambique on August 1 to begin new ministries – Steve & Katuska will both join the team at the Bible College – Steve teaching, and Katuska helping with finance and administration.
Samuel, Benjamin and Joseph will attend the Christian Academy of Mozambique, OMS’ own school in Maputo.

Pray for the family as they settle in, acclimatise, make new friends, and get to grips with Portuguese, and for good integration into the mission team in Maputo.
